Ingredients
- 1 cup melted butter
- 1 cup brown sugar (dark or light)
- 1/2 cup white sugar
- 1 egg + 1 egg yolk
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup bread flour
- 3/4 cup all purpose flour
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 2 cups semi sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- In a stand mixer, combine melted butter and sugars until they come together.
- Add in the eggs and vanilla, combine all together well.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flours, salt, baking soda and baking powder.
- Add the flour mixture to the batter in the stand mixer and combine until flour is incorporated. Do not over mix.
- Add in the chocolate chips. Combine all together.
- Roll the cookies into small balls approximately 1 tbsp each and place on a baking sheet.
- Place cookies on baking sheet in the refrigerator for 30 – 60 minutes. (Overnight is best!)
- Bake cookies 2 inches apart in 350 degree oven for 13 – 15 minutes.
- Remove from oven, let cool for ~10 minutes before placing on a cooling rack. Try not to eat them all at once (good luck with that!)
